Q: How do I Register to stay in a Hospitality Home?
A: First, fill out the Guest Registration Form and submit. It takes a few days for us to approve it. We will send you a Guest ID #. Once you have a Guest ID, fill out a Reservation Request.
Q: How long can I stay at a Hospitality Home?
A: Most hospitality stays are short-term and range anywhere between 3 days to 2 weeks, depending on the need of the guests. Please note: our hosts cannot accommodate long-term stays, and prefer not to accommodate single night stays.
Q: Why do I need an official website address for my church or ministry?
A: We search your organization to verify that it is official and that your name and position are listed as part of the staff. If it is not prominently displayed or easily found, the reservation process is delayed. Please note that we do not accept Facebook, unofficial, or personal websites as verification
Q: What do you require besides an official website?
A: If we are not able to verify your organization or your participation in full-time ministry from your official organization website, we require a Reference Form from your Pastor, Officer of the Board, or supervisor. In some cases, we additionally require an official letter from your organization (on their letterhead) explaining your full-time participation in the organization.

Q: How long does it take to confirm a Reservation once I have been approved?
A: After you have submitted a Reservation Request by going to "Reservations" and then "Reservation Request Form," we send your request to your destination host. It may take several days to several weeks to hear back from them, depending on the host. We will contact you immediately once we hear from them.
Q: What if I have forgotten my Guest ID?
A: No worries! Just drop us a line at Contact Us and say "Need my Guest ID" and we will email it to you. You are then ready to go to "Reservations" as a "Returning Guest." If you are a New Guest and have not previously used the Ministry, then go here!
Q: I have used Makahiki/HospitalityHomes.org in the past. Do I need to register again?
A: If you have had a hospitality stay in the past, you are already registered as a guest. However, if it has been several years, please contact us to update your profile. We will send you a link to your application so you can make changes to your contact information and any changes in your position, organization, etc.
Q: How much does it cost to stay in a hospitality home?
A: Please see the "Fees" tab. The page breaks down the reservation and processing fees. These fees keep HospitalityHomes.org going. In most homes, there is NO FEE paid to the hosts, however, guests are encouraged to share the expenses with their host as the Lord provides and leads. Our hosts are generous people who donate their home to be used by Christian workers and lovingly practice their gift of hospitality. The Lord blesses us, them, and YOU all at the same time!
